We will be featuring a runner or walker who participated in the 4th of July 5k each month between now and July 2015
OUR 5K MAJOR SPONSORS
June 2015 - FEATURE of the Month
June 2015 - FEATURE of the Month
Our feature for the month of June is not about a runner, walker, or 5k volunteer. Rather, it is about our generous sponsors. Although many local businesses contribute items for the participants’ goodie bags, and that is greatly appreciated, our focus here will be on those who donate money or things worth a substantial amount of money to the MI-Evart July 4th 5k. It takes approximately $5,000 to produce a first class 5k and without this sponsorship our event simply could not have the positive effect in our community that it does. Having sponsors who cover the cost of producing the event allows the money raised by entries to go directly to a cause, in this case the Evart Public Schools.
We have four levels of sponsorship: Bronze Level ($200), Silver Level ($500), Gold Level ($1,000), and Super Sponsor ($1,500). This year we had no Bronze Level sponsors. And, that’s good news because all of the Bronze Level sponsors we’ve had in past years have graduated to the Silver Level.
Silver Level sponsors are as follows: Members First Credit Union, Babb Ford, Holihan’s Drug Store, Taylor Insurance, the Evart Downtown Development Authority, and Rural Vermont Computer Repair (formerly known as Rob’s Computer Service, Etc.). All of these businesses have sponsored the MI-Evart July 4th 5k for several years. Babb Ford has done so for all four years of the 5k’s existence.
Cargill, formerly known as Mosaic, has been a Gold Level sponsor for four years. Their support has remained even though the company was sold and reorganized. Cargill has a strong wellness program, encourages its employees to participate, and tries very hard to be a positive presence in the community.
Our Super Sponsors for the last two years have been KC’s Party Store and Xtreme Cleaning and Restoration of Evart. The Copeman’s (owners) are runners. They participate in the race every year and enjoy being a part of bringing an event of this type to their community. What a positive impact they are having in Evart!
As the race director I would like to thank all of our contributors and sponsors. Whenever the opportunity arises please try to do business with these establishments.
